Periogenix™ is intended to protect injured periodontal tissue (gums) by forming a temporary physical barrier to avoid further irritation. Periogenix™ helps clinicians manage intraoral wounds by assisting in the process of acute and chronic wound healing.

Periogenix™ is a prescription product packaged as a kit containing 30 mL of emulsion and 30 disposable dental trays. It's recommended that Periogenix™ be applied by the patient three times daily over a 7 to 10 day period or as prescribed by an oral care practitioner.
